I love beading and taking pictures of my work. Many lovely necklaces, bracelets, earrings and odd pieces will be posted here along with links to my favorite bead related sites. I may even stick in an odd hand crafted item from time to time because doing the same thing day after day gets boring! Have fun looking!

A Necklace For Spring or Summer
I don't know about you, but I've had enough Winter already. There are at least two and a half months of cold and snow ahead of us! I got this necklace out of it's box yesterday and got it ready for the Internet. At least we can look at a bit of Spring even if we can't feel it. I named it "Southern Belle" because it reminds me of grand ladies wearing their flowers in the heat of Summer.
This was an adventure to make. I have never used cube beads before. Combining them with seed beads lead to an interesting pattern. It lies nice and flat on the neck. The "flower" is something else I've never tried with my jewelry. It contains sequins. They add a wonderful shimmer to the fantasy of this flower.
I am off to do Saturday chores. Hope everyone is doing well.

It's a beautiful necklace. This year, even though I'm not crazy about the cold, I'm trying to embrace winter to appreciate what follows.
